I am pleased to share that on 2 October, Vestboard recorded its first match between two members of our community, just one day after the demand signal was posted.
On 1 October, a member approached me with an investor requirement for a €10–20 million allocation to a liquid distressed credit strategy. He did not have a suitable product within his existing manager relationships and asked whether Vestboard could help.
This was precisely the type of opportunity the platform was created to address.
He posted the demand signal on The Board that same day. By 2 October, another member had responded, confirming that he represented a potentially suitable strategy. Both members have since agreed to connect and will meet in person to explore the opportunity further.
What makes this particularly interesting is that the two members already knew each other. Yet neither was aware of the opportunity on the other side. The platform brought that information to the surface.
This illustrates the value of sharing investor demand within a trusted professional community.
For the member posting the signal, it creates an opportunity to satisfy an investor requirement that might otherwise remain unserved, while potentially generating additional revenue.
For the responding member, it opens access to an investor relationship, distribution channel and market beyond their existing coverage.
Investor demand that remains buried in a CRM has limited commercial value. Shared anonymously through Vestboard, it becomes an opportunity.
I would encourage each of you to identify just one or two investor requirements within your network for which you currently lack a suitable product, and post them on The Board.
Not every signal will find a match within 24 hours. Some may take weeks, and others may not find a match at all. But by making that demand visible to the community, you create an opportunity that otherwise might never materialise.
This first match is a small but encouraging milestone. I look forward to seeing many more.
